After obtaining a veterinary medical doctor degree from UC Davis 30 years ago,
I returned to my birthplace in Southern California to practice small animal medicine.
During my career I have worked with many animal rescue groups and been a veterinary
consultant for the "Pit Bull's and Parolee's" television program.
When it arise's (rarely), I spend my free time with my beautiful significant other Susan, and my two dog's, Lil Pup and Curly Sue, hiking and swimming, and working on my classic cars.
I really enjoy being a veterinarian, in large part due to the support I receive from my colleagues and hard working staff.
Dr. Hart grew up in Orange County when there was still space to ride her horse and have animals. Everything from pet mice and rats to sheep and cattle. Graduated from Cal Poly Pomona 1980 with a degree in animal science. She became a Peace Corps volunteer for two years after graduating college..
In veterinary school she enjoyed competing in obedience trials with "Q-bert" , her miniature schnauzer.
Dr. Mary Ann Hart graduated in 1988 from The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
After finishing internship in the San Francisco Bay area, she moved to Southern California and
accepted an associate position at a 24-hr veterinary practice. She stayed there for over 23 years,
focusing on emergency medicine, surgery, and critical care.
In 2009, she was ready for a change and started working relief shifts at various area veterinary
hospitals, looking for a new practice to call home. She had the good fortune to meet the staff
at East Valley Veterinary, and became a full time associate in 2013.
Dr. Mary Ann Hart is married with one son, and enjoys traveling, hiking, and amateur radio.
